Humble Love

Dear Lord thank You for all of the great gifts that You have given us and please forgive our sins. Please may the Holy Spirit be with us this day guiding and protecting us as we walk the paths of a new day where we have never been before either in thought or deed. Help us make wise decisions and may our motives be not from vanity or greed, but from humble love. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:
Being a humble instrument in the hands of our heavenly Father, I desire that all my words and acts may be according to His will; and that it may be so, I give thanks to the Almighty, and seek His aid. --Abraham Lincoln

KJV
Pr 29:23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

Lu 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
Lu 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Lu 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Lu 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
Lu 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
