Peacemakers

Dear Lord please be with us this day and help us to have wisdom to keep us from acting in the wrong manner or saying the wrong thing in a sudden response to something that has been said or done to us. Help us to understand that sometimes silence is the best response, and please may the love of the Holy Spirit have control over us on this day and may we be peacemakers saying and doing as we think Jesus would want. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Patient

Dear Lord please be with us on this day and please may the Holy Spirit be with us for the strength to stand firm for what we know is right. If there is doubt in what to do help us to be patient and not rush into making a choice that we may not want to look back on later in time. Thank You for all of the great gifts that You have given us and please forgive our sins, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Doers

Dear Lord please be with us this day and may the things that we try to do work out alright and for the best. Please may the Holy Spirit be with us guiding and protecting us in all that we do. Please help us to see new understanding in Your Word as this day goes by and may we be doers not just talkers of Your Word, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

KJV
Lu 6:47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
Lu 6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
Lu 6:49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Mistakes

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please may the Holy Spirit be by our side and keep us from making mistakes by saying or doing something that would turn our day from good to bad by hurting someones feelings or causing anger to enter in to a relationship. Please help us see ways of preventing others from making mistakes in what they say or do without criticizing them or making them feel bad, but instead making them feel good and increasing their self esteem. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

KJV
1Sa 12:21 And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.
1Sa 12:22 For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.
1Sa 12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
1Sa 12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

Leading

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please give us the wisdom to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our thoughts and deeds. Please lead us gently to humility and humbleness with out our stumbling over vanity and vain thoughts to some tragic end. Please may we see the right path all day long even as circumstances change may our virtues be strong and may we end the day with a strong sense of God's love, joy, and peace of mind, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Help us see the parallel of our lives in the wilderness and the Israelites as they were being humbled by the Lord.

De 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
De 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Wealth

Dear Lord please give us strength on this day to cope with what ever comes our way, may it be sweet or sour. Help us to learn how to be concerned with what is important, and let the unimportant things be let go from our care. Please may the Holy Spirit guide us through the narrow avenues of thought as we try to separate the wealth of neighborly love and fellowship, from the ugliness of the love of the coveted wealth and material things of the world, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:
No man can tell whether he is rich or poor by turning to his ledger. It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is, not according to what he has. -Beecher

KJV
Pr 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Pr 11:28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

Pr 30:8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Pr 30:9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

Mt 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Mt 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Mt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Sweetness

Dear Lord please be with us this day, and help us to know the sweetness of love from some source on this day that You have given us from Your creation. May the gift of this day of wonder be like a grand bouquet given from a lover for celebration of sweet love. Please may the Holy Spirit be by our side showing us wonders on this day such as the warmth of the sun or the refreshing coolness of a breeze filled with the sweet scent of honeysuckle or savoring hint of sage.

KJV
Ps 104:33 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Ps 104:34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

Dance

Dear Lord please be with us this day, guide and protect us from all evil thoughts and deeds. Please help us give up control and let the Holy Spirit lead us this day as we dance in Your wonderful garden of creation. May we find the rhythm in the songs of nature as we are serenaded by the birds and the insects as only they can do with a chorus that was written for all of the harmonic parts to be heard and appreciated by all of the ears of creation. Tolerant

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please guide and protect us as we interact among Your other children. Please may the Holy Spirit be by our side and may our thoughts and deeds be directed from a point of love and tolerance even when it means giving up control of a situation that we have so much concern for. Please help us understand that if we let go of the tiller and let You steer us with the love of tolerance and forgiveness that all will work out for the best of all concerned. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

KJV
Lu 9:47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
Lu 9:48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
Lu 9:49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
Lu 9:50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Ro 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Ro 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Ro 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Ro 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Please may the way to these Truths be made more clear to the world every day, and the path to the Kingdom of God dominate the thoughts and desires of all mankind. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:
It is not the number of books you read, nor the variety of sermons you hear, nor the amount of religious conversation in which you mix, but it is the frequency and earnestness with which you meditate on these things till the truth in them becomes your own and part of your being, that ensures your growth. -Robertson

KJV

Influence

Dear Lord please be with us this day and help us to be patient with others as we tread the paths that are before us. May the Holy Spirit be by our side showing direction that is by choice to be kind and thoughtful to others. Please may we influence others to have virtues of kindness rather than let the influence of others cause us to be less than kind as we interact with Your children. Please guide us into working for Your Will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

KJV
Ac 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Please help us find encouragement and added confidence in ourselves every time that we can solve a problem and have a success no matter the size. Please help us have the understanding that even if it is a very small problem and very small success it is still something to put on the positive side of the ledger. Freedom

Dear Lord please be with us this day and help us have patience with others on this day that You have given us to use as we see fit. Please help us to understand that the freedom we have as to how to use this day is necessary for us to be able to seek the Kingdom of God. Help us understand that we can have the guidance of the Holy Spirit but we are free to not follow this guidance, and we won't always follow this guidance even though we know in our innermost being that we should. Help us see that we are God's children not his puppets and that is why we must stay in active communication with the Lord through prayer and meditation and seeking His Kingdom is a path that requires the discipline of virtues found when we surrender our will to His. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

KJV

Approval

Dear Lord please be with us, guide us, and protect us on this day. Please forgive our mistakes as we forgive others when they do not do as we think they should. Help us to not force our will on others, but to offer advise for guidance, set an example, and then with prayer give the freedom of Christ's Love over to them with the hope and faith that if it be God's Will the Holy Spirit will persevere with the guidance necessary to lead them to truth and salvation. Please help us see our own missteps and stiff necked refusal to be led into the light. Please help us to seek the approval of the Lord rather than the approval of man or the sinful world, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:
The great need of the world today is the spiritual power necessary for the overthrow of evil, for the establishment of righteousness, and for the ushering in of the era of perpetual peace; and that spiritual power begins in the surrender of the individual to God. 2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2Pe 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

Vulnerable

Dear Lord please be with us this day as we are so fragile, weak, and vulnerable when we are not sure that You are guiding and protecting us through the power of the Holy Spirit. KJV
Ro 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Ro 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Ro 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Ro 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Ro 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Ro 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Ro 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?Ro 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Ec 2:24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.

Ec 3:9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
Ec 3:10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
Ec 3:11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
Ec 3:12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
Ec 3:13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

Ec 8:15 Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.
Ec 3:14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

Virtues

Dear Lord thank You for all of the great gifts that You have given us, and please forgive our sins of misbehavior and selfishness. Please may the Holy Spirit be guiding us this day to the virtues that will bring us to happiness and the joy of Your Kingdom. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

KJV
Ro 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Ro 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Ro 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Choices

Dear Lord please be with us this day and may we be guided by the Holy Spirit in word and deed. May we make wise decisions as we travel on through the small part of Your world that You have gifted to us and please help us to treat it with respect and be good stewards where we can have a choice. Please help us to begin to see places where we have had choices and only reacted out of habit to experiences as they happened around us. May we offer suggestions of Your Love and guidance to those we touch instead of just ignoring their needs, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

KJV
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Jude 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
