Consider Competition

Dear Lord please be with us this day and may the Holy Spirit please be guiding and protecting us in all that we say and do on this day. Dear Lord please help us consider competition as we think about the reasons why to do things on this day. Do we try to have more for ourselves or do we try to help others have more, do we try to learn more or teach others more. Dear Lord please guide us to be unselfish and have more love, patience, and understanding for others as we consider the competition of this day. Thank You for all of the great gifts and blessings that You have given us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.
