Wisdom

Dear Lord please be with us this day and may the Holy Spirit be with us guiding and protecting us in thought and deed as the day goes by. Please give us the faith, confidence, and wisdom to prepare for whatever our future holds and may we not make selfish unwise decisions based on lustful wants for material wealth. Thank You for all of the great gifts that You have given us, and please forgive our sins, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:*
The older I grow - and now I stand on the brink of eternity- the more comes back to me that sentence in the Catechism which I learned when a child, and the fuller and deeper its meaning becomes: "What is the chief end of man? To glorify God and enjoy him forever." --Thomas Carlyle

KJV*
Ps 25:12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
Ps 25:13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
Ps 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Jas 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Jas 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
