Disappointment

Dear Lord please be with us this day and may the Holy Spirit guide and protect us in every deed and thought of this day. Please help us choose paths that will prepare us for witness for the sake of those who may be seeking Your Kingdom. Thank You for all of the great gifts that You have given us and please forgive our sins as we forgive the mistakes of others. Please lead us to understand the difference between having all that we need with peace of mind from living with simplicity, or trying to cope with a world of lustful greed and envy, full of disappointment and misplaced allegiance to a selfish creed. Please help us to live by the golden rule, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.
