Hopelessness

Dear Lord please be with us this day and may the Holy Spirit please be guiding and protecting us throughout the day from feelings of hopelessness and depression that can come on us like ravenous beasts if we let our thoughts travel the paths of negativity. Please may the Holy Spirit lead us on paths of positive hope, where memories can remind us of blessings in the past and hope for the future if we but let go and let God have control. Please let the power of the Word of God, and the beauty of His creation, be absorbed into our minds and overcome the hopelessness generated in this lustful world where temptation for material wealth is facing us at every turn if we are not traveling a path of seeking the Kingdom of God. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:*
My only hope for the world is in bringing the human mind into contact with divine revelation. --William E. Gladstone

KJV*
2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Pr 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Pr 17:24 Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.

Jas 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
Jas 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Ro 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Ro 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Ro 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Ro 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
