Deficit

Dear Lord please be with us today and may this be a good day in Your Kingdom. It has come to me that this word deficit has been in my world ever since I was a small child, and I would hear it over and over again on the evening news as the politicians beat on each other with their oratory about the national debt and the terrible financial problems looming in the future because of the deficit. Of course this problem was the age old "not enough money" or too much spending. What a contrast to the message of Jesus as He pleaded for more compassion and sowing of the seeds of brotherly love. A deficit of love is problematic no matter where it is in society, no matter how big or how small. Please may the Holy Spirit be with us, guide us, and protect us, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

KJV
Pr 11:18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.
Ga 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Job 4:8 Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.
Ho 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
2Co 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
