Egotistical Thought and Deed

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please may Your Holy Spirit be guiding and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and blessings and protection that You give us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.
Dear Lord please lead us into paths of a good and productive day and please may the things that we try to do work out alright and for the best.
Dear Lord please lead us to understand warning signs that may appear if we are in danger of straying into territory of egotistical thought and deed as we travel the paths in life that we must as we seek Your Kingdom, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:*
Men cannot be brothers if they are not humble.  It is pride, no matter how legitimate it may seem to be, which provokes tension and struggles for prestige, for predominance, colonialism, egoism.  That is, pride disrupts brotherhood. --Pope Paul VI

KJV*
1Sa 2:3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

Isa 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Mt 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mt 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
