Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please may Your Holy Spirit be guiding and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and the blessings and the protection that You give us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.

Dear Lord please help us find understanding and the leadership that we need to understand how to live with Your Children as we seek Your Kingdom among the temptations of this world even when we are not strong enough to overcome all temptations and why we want to forgive the misdirection of others as we mix and mingle with Your Children as we want to be forgiven for our own misdirection, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Mt 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

Mt 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Mt 22:37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Mt 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

Mt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Mt 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Mt 22:41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

Mt 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.

Mt 22:43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

Ps 110:1 <<A Psalm of David.>> The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Mt 22:44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Mt 22:45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

Mt 22:46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

Mt 7:12 Mt Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Mt 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Mt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

In summary, these verses from the Gospel of Matthew provide valuable guidance on ethical behavior, interpersonal relationships, and spiritual choices. The Golden Rule teaches us to treat others with love and kindness, while the analogy of the two gates and paths encourages us to carefully consider the choices we make in life, recognizing that the path of virtue and spiritual growth might not always be the most popular or convenient one.
