Patterns Of Life To Follow

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please may Your Holy Spirit be guiding and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and the blessings and the protection that You give us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.

Dear Lord please lead us into areas to where we may find and see the patterns of life that we should use for correction and guidance as we mix and mingle with Your Children while we seek Your Kingdom along the paths that we may be on in seeking other things in this life other than Your Kingdom, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

KJV*

Mt 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Mt 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Mt 6:27  Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Mt 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Mt 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Mt 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Mt 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Mt 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Mt 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Matthew 6:32 Mt 6:32

Commentary as Doddridge, in Power Bible cd;

 (For it is really beneath your character as my disciples, thus to distress yourselves on this account: the heathen, who are strangers to the promises of God’s covenant, and to the hopes of his glory, do indeed seek after all these things; and it is not wonder that their minds are taken up with them: but you have greater business to employ you, and higher hopes to animate and encourage you;) for you may be assured that as your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things while you dwell in the body, he will not fail to provide them for you.

Matthew 6:33 Mt 6:33

 But I exhort you that you turn your cares into a nobler channel, and seek, in the first place, and with the greatest earnestness and concern, the kingdom of God and his righteousness; laboring to secure an interest in the promises of the gospel yourselves, and to promote its reception among others, that by submitting to the righteousness of God you may be thus accepted as righteous before him: in that you will be sure of success; and as for all these little things of which I have now been speaking, they shall be added to you over and above, and, as it were, thrown in amidst a crown of far more valuable blessings.

Mt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
