The Lord's Requirements

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please may Your Holy Spirit be guiding and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and blessings and the protection that You give us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.

Dear Lord please lead us into paths of understanding and new enlightenment as we study Your Word and dig deep into what we should be realizing is the whole meaning and prize of working in Your Kingdom as we mix and mingle with Your Children in Your Creation as we seek Your Presence, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Isa 1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Mic 6:6 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

Mic 6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

Mic 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

As explained in commentary by Patrick/Lowth/Whitby/Lowman

Ver. 8.  He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; Both the dictates of reason, and the laws of God, sufficiently inform men what are the substantial parts of their duty; viz. the practice of justice and mercy, and a reverent behaviour towards God, and looking up to him as our Lord and maker. This is a more acceptable service than the most costly sacrifices (compare De 10:12-13; 1Sa 15:22; Isa 1:11; Ho 6:6).
