Humility and Need

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please may Your Holy Spirit be guiding and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and blessings and protection that You give us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.
Dear Lord please lead us not into the paths of vain temptations where vanity and selfish self indulgence can separate us from the love of family and friends and even from Your Love and the rewards of Your Peace and the Joy that comes with it.
Dear Lord please bring us into paths of service and into using our abilities to be of service to others but not to show pride but to walk in humility and need of Your Holy Spirit's Presence, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:*
Humility is not denying the power you have but admitting that the power you have comes through you and not from you.  To deny your power is to lie.  We... simply have to admit that power comes through us and not from us. --Fred Smith
