Selfish Egotistical Desires

Dear Lord please be with us this day and may the Holy Spirit please be guiding and protecting us all through this day in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts , blessings, and protection that You have given us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others. Please may the things that we try to do work out alright and for the best and help us come to an understanding of what things in our life are important and should be treasured and what things are selfish egotistical desires that have no true value and should not have a priority over other things in our lives. Please may we not have to suffer loss to find this understanding, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.
