The Light Of Men

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please may Your Holy Spirit be guiding  and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and the blessings and the protection that You give us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.

Dear Lord please lead us into a humble path that will not alienate us from Your Children as we mix and mingle while seeking Your Kingdom among the temptations of this world, even as we would prefer to be considered humble, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:

Being a humble instrument in the hands of our heavenly Father, I desire that all my words and acts may be according to His will; and that it may be so, I give thanks to the Almighty, and seek His aid.

Abraham Lincoln

KJV*

Lu 11:33  No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

Lu 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Lu 11:35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Lu 11:36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

Lu 11:37 And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.

Lu 11:38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.

Lu 11:39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

Lu 11:40 Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?

Lu 11:41 But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

Lu 12:33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

Lu 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Lu 12:35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
