Gifts of Tribulation

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please may Your Holy Spirit be guiding and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and blessings and protection that You give us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.
Dear Lord please lead us into areas of strength and patience as we do battle with the worries and failures of our every day lives in this world of Your Creation among Your Children who need us to succeed in our battles so that they can move forward in their lives and their battles to believe Your Word and to have Faith with Hope.
Dear Lord please bless us in our tribulations with the strength of perseverance and longsuffering gifts and fruits of Your Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:*
The whole aim of the science of perfection in Christ is to instruct men how to remove the hindrances in the way of the action of the Holy Spirit, and how to cultivate those virtues which are most favorable to His solicitations and inspirations. Thus the sum of spiritual life consists in observing and yielding to the movements of the Spirit of God in our soul, employing for this purpose all the exercises of prayer, spiritual reading, the practice of virtues, and good works. --Issac T. Hecker
