Finding Happiness

Dear Lord please be with us this day and please may Your Holy Spirit be guiding and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and blessings and protection that You have given us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.
Dear Lord please help us to make this day happier and more liveable for others by taking care for them in the things that we say and do, and please lead us into finding happiness for ourselves by serving others, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

A man should be encouraged to do what the Maker of him has intended by the making of him, according as the gifts have been bestowed on him for that purpose.  His happiness, and that of others around him [depends upon] such a relation to the Maker's will. --Thomas Carlyle

KJV*
Pr 14:21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
Pr 14:22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

Proverbs  ( Thomas Hawies ) commentary Power Bible C D
Verse 21: It is an affliction to be poor, a greater to be despised for it; yet this is the world’s way, and a very sinful one it is. We should learn a different lesson; to be merciful and kind to the distressed, condescending, ready to every good office, which by our purse, our counsel, or countenance, we can show them: for  happy is he, nothing is more truly its own reward, than such a gracious spirit: the immediate satisfaction thence resulting, is great, and the eternal blessedness which is in store for such, far greater.
