Jealous Envy

Dear Lord please be with us this day and may Your Holy Spirit please be guiding and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and blessings and protection that You give us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.
Dear Lord please lead us into the enjoyment and love derived from the fellowship of friendly interests into similar projects and hobbies as we travel the trial ridden paths of this life where jealous envy boiling up from competition can rob us of many friendly visits and hours of brotherly love.
Dear Lord please instill in our hearts and souls the powers of Your Love overcoming the carnal powers of hate and greed left over from our tribal past, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:*
Envy is littleness of soul, which cannot see beyond a certain point, and if it does not occupy the whole space feels itself excluded. -William Hazlitt

KJV*
1Co 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
1Co 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
1Co 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

1Co 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1Co 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1Co 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1Co 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
