Selfish Desires

Dear Lord please forgive our sins and please be with us on this day that You have given us and please may this be a good day for our thoughts to grow as we seek Your Kingdom.
Dear Lord may Your Holy Spirit  please guide and protect us in every thing that we say and do and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others. Thank You for all of the great gifts and blessings and protection that You give us and please lead us on paths of righteousness on this day as we deal with Your children in Your creation and please lead us away from the temptations of hate and greed that run rampant in this world of lusting for more and more selfish desires that can take over all of our thinking, if not kept in check. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

1Co 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
1Co 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
1Co 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Therefore, let me entreat and charge you all, my beloved and most amiable brethren, my joy now, and my crown of rejoicing in that expected day of the Lord, that as ye have so great and important a hope, ye improve it to animate you in a vigorous adherence to that religion which inspires it; and so stand fast in the Lord, as becomes those who are so dear to him as well as so tenderly beloved by me, and who expect by his grace so glorious a change.
