Motives

Dear Lord please be with us this day and may Your Holy Spirit please be guiding and protecting us in every thing that we say and do. Thank You for all of the great gifts and blessings and protection that You give us and please forgive our sins the same as we forgive the mistakes of others.
Dear Lord please lead us into paths of righteousness and please may our motives be correct for the thoughts that we have and the deeds that we do.
Dear Lord please help us shape our priorities and values around the molds that Jesus The Christ teaches us with as He demonstrates life in His Fathers Creation by telling Truths in the form of parables and even explaining where the options of temptation will lead if we are led by the wrong motives, in Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

Quotation:*
It is the oldest temptation in the world, and the most fruitful parent of sins, and the most dangerous temptation- in that it contains so much truth- to regard self rather than God as the center in which spiritual effort must originate. --R.H. Benson

KJV*
Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Heb 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
